AW/26 Bag Edit: First Purse

“When choosing a personal bag we always have to define functionality, a purse that is practical enough for the  daily grind and of course a style that is not just seasonal but also can be a classic piece”

First purse for autumn - yes please! With autumns here, and finally the weather is slowly permits - we have made out of the scorching heat but not really (lol). The best time in the region to slowly layer up those cool fits, fresher out of the box purse and give it a strut outdoors. October is a time for refreshing our wardrobe, a self restart and a renewed and fresher season. When choosing a personal bag we always have to define functionality, a purse that is practical enough for the daily grind and of course a style that is not just seasonal but also can be a classic piece. In this list, I have curated a selection of purses that we adore most for this purpose. From the new take quilted inspired cushion called Bunny Knot by Tory Burch, Maison Margiela archival piece to Jil Sander long strap purse.

BUNNY KNOT by Tory Burch

Fresh off the runway and right through the Tory Burch stores. This Tory Burch quilted take on design, that is called Bunny Knot is a statement purse that the house is very proudly design and made. The knot brings a subtle definition to their new quilted shoulder bag that is seen at the Fall/Winter 2026 runway show at the Sotheby’s Breuer. Talk about functionality where you can easily toss anything you need for your daily work essentials. A fashion statement that is not just for this season but can also be classical in motion. This purse brings out attention to the integrity of the design just as it does to any creative expression.

PINCH BAG by GIVENCHY

I know, I’m very biased with anything top handle and minimal but yes, you can’t blame me for that. This Givenchy pinch bag is not as cute as what the name says lol, because it spells classy and chic. A refined yet understated addition to the Maisons Autumn/Winter accessories, with its rich suede texture and bolder hue which perfectly define this seasons palette. This bag speaks practicality with it’s attachable crossbody strap, making it easy to carry from day to night. Its compact proportions makes it ideal for carrying out your daily essentials without compromising on style - and we are here for it.

LINK BAG by MAISON MARGIELA

An archival inspired piece that draws from Maison Margiela’s Fall Winter 2001 collection. A newly take, to the maisons this seasons IT bags focusing its designs in a soft, gathered and compact body paired with distinction. The accessory features a chain link shouldered strap that is partially encased in nappa leather exposing polished silver tone metal links at the end. Can be use in fashionably shoulder bag for its purpose - a subtle and quite luxury branding that features its four stitches a Maison Margiela identity. A status everyday handbag - LOVE!

LINEA LONG SHOULDER STRAP BAG by JIL SANDER

Part of the Maisons Linea Family - this Jil Sander Linea long shoulder strap bag is an icon of its own. From it’s structural shape a beautifully distinctive and simple silhouette. Crafted from smooth and supple leather, the bag has a fresh and luxurious finish that feels understated than overly finished. For an easy setting, I have best bet in going into the black & white color which is eaiser to pair anything from your existing autumn/winter wardrobe. The linea bag has nothing to prove - nothing feels excessive but every detail feels intentional.
