From January 9th to 14th, at the Dubai Opera Garden, visitors are invited to discover how Giorgio Armani’s haute couture inspirations are reimagined as olfactory creations.
In partnership with the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, this event marks a collaboration that celebrates the convergence of luxury, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of Dubai.
Each of the Armani/Privé fragrances represents an accomplished work of art, an olfactory alchemy of uncompromising perfection fusing the precision of bespoke design and the transporting power of creativity.
In “L’Expostion Edition Nomade”, each of the four fragrances collections - Les Eaux, La Collection, Les Terres Précieuses, and Les Mille et Une Nuits - is captured within its unique universe. These collections stand alongside Les Éditions Couture, a selection of limited-edition fragrances that directly interpret individual Armani/Privé Haute Couture collections. Each of the Armani/Privé fragrances, evokes inspirational locales and noble ingredients, while offering a rich olfactory interpretation of Giorgio Armani’s vision.
The exhibition begins with Les Eaux fragrances, presented amidst a tranquil garden sculpted from paper, that is brought to life via colorful light projections. One by one, the different fragrances and their ingredients are unveiled, creating a powerful interpretation of nature.
The exhibition continues with La Collection, the original Armani/Privé fragrance collection, captured in a minimalist room that interprets the ingredients’ essential elegance. To illustrate just how La Collection elevates these ingredients, L’Exposition Édition Nomade showcases three resin walls, in which each of the three fragrances’ raw materials – amber, incense, and leather – are captured, suspended in space.
Following the path, visitors enter the color-infused room of Les Terres Précieuses, which explores fragrances inspired by jewel-toned, precious stones. This space displays the eight Les Terres Précieuses fragrances, including the new BLANC KOGANE and NOIR KOGANE, and ROUGE MALACHITE, with its statement bottle in the deep tones of an imaginary red malachite stone. Rouge Malachite’s shade of red is seen in the Giorgio Armani Privé Fall-Winter 2014/2015 haute couture creation, presented in the tiered organza gown, whose millefeuille layers are embellished with tiny red crystals staged in a glass case that replicates the shape of the Armani/Privé fragrance bottle. All the fragrances are displayed on columns crafted as graphic blocks of color, delivering a multi-sensory experience mixing smells, lights and sounds.
Then, the opulent universe of Les Milles et Une Nuits’ fragrances evokes the mood of the Orient. This space invites the visitor into a dreamlike, desert experience. This room conjures a play between light and shadow, created by its sleek, contemporary take on moucharabieh, the intricate latticework that adorns traditional windows in the Middle East.
Finally, Les Éditions Couture Limited Edition Fragrances are presented in a space alongside an Armani/Privé Spring 2023 Haute Couture gown that has inspired the latest Les Éditions Couture scent, Rondò Armaniano. This room vividly illustrates how closely an Armani/Privé scent and design relate to one another, encapsulating the ultimate refinement of the Giorgio Armani aesthetic.
Before leaving, visitors are invited to enter a room to revisit the full Armani/Privé Haute Couture fragrances collection, to discover - or rediscover - their unique scents.
The Armani Cafe will be available as a pop-up experience during the exhibition at the Dubai Opera Gardens from January 9th to 14th.
