DIOR: The Niki de Saint Phalle Capsule

Woven over time, these eternally evolving affinities unfold most notably with Niki de Saint Phalle. A marvelous alliance that began in 1954, when the feminist artist – also a model – sported a Dior look in a shot taken by photographer Henry Clarke. This rapport continued in 1965, as Marc Bohan forged a unique creative friendship with her, followed by a series of exceptional collaborations. Perpetuating this captivating dialogue, Maria Grazia Chiuri paid tribute to her through her Dior Spring-Summer 2018 ready-to-wear collection.

Today, this singular line is reinvented with pieces recalling the fascinating universe of the famous visual artist. Spotlighting her extraordinary imagination, they are magnified by drawings evoking three of her works entitled Tu es mon dragon, Strength and Foulard Zodiaque* Colorful motifs representing the signs of the zodiac adorn the iconic Lady Dior, the Dior Book Tote and elegant silk squares, while an irresistible dragon punctuates long-sleeved t-shirts, wrap-around knits and denim items.
