Dubai’s Roasters Sets Guinness World Record With an AED 2,500 Cup of Coffee

Dubai is the land of the biggest, the boldest and the most dazzling. From record-breaking towers to haute cuisine and luxury shopping, the city thrives on superlatives. Now, it has added another to its glittering list - the world’s most expensive cup of coffee.

Roasters, the homegrown specialty coffee brand, has recently set a Guinness World Record for “The Most Expensive Coffee Cup in the World,” priced at AED 2,500. The milestone was marked at its flagship outlet on the Boulevard, Downtown Dubai, where record adjudicators – along with coffee enthusiasts of course, gathered to witness history being brewed.

And this record-setting cup is no ordinary pour, it features a precision hand-poured V60 brew made with ultra-rare Panama Esmeralda Geisha coffee beans, celebrated for their floral aromatics and layered tropical fruit notes. Accompaniments infused with Geisha beans include a delicate tiramisu, chocolate ice cream and a signature chocolate piece crafted to reflect the exclusivity of the experience. Guests enjoyed a table-side ritual led by a dedicated barista, with every detail calibrated: temperature-controlled pouring, fresh grinding and tasting cards to guide the sensory journey. Served in a handcrafted Edo Kiriko crystal glass, the ritual was a masterclass in aromas, textures and flavours.
