Get ready to dazzle your friends and family with your new cooking skills, once out of isolation, by tuning into McGettigan’s Recipes on YouTube (link) every Sunday, starting from the 5th April.

The 60 seconds snippets of methodology will teach you the ropes in some of the famous McGettigan’s dishes, including Soda Bread, the perfect Roast Potatoes, and that Sticky Toffee Pudding.

So, whilst you might not be able to get to your local McGettigan’s right now, you can certainly kill some time by learning the tricks of the trade. And if you need help to bulk out your dinner, just order in from McGettigan’s Deliveroo JLT.

Irish Brown Soda Bread


Whole purpose flour: 250gm

Whole meal flour: 750gm

Butter milk: 150ml

Milk full fat: 700ml

Salt: 20gm                                                              

Baking soda: 20gm                                           

Oats: 100gm                                                              


Take all dry ingredients in a bowl

Add butter milk and milk in to it

Mix it thoroughly

Transfer to desired baking trays

- Bake at 210°c for about 45 minutes

Cool it down before slicing
