“The Reveal watch embodies Versace’s distinctive fashion DNA through signature elements such as the Medusa emblem and the Greca motif,” says Daniela Di Luca SVP Managing Director - Timex Group Luxury Division. “At the same time, it represents a fresh chapter for the watch division by merging the aesthetic of a jewel bracelet with the functionality of a timepiece.” It is this hidden design—almost like a secret luxury—that turns the Reveal into what the house describes as “a refined object of desire.” Where many luxury watchmakers lean into their centuries-old heritage, Versace charts a different course, merging opulence with innovation.
The watches are developed by the Giorgio Galli Design Lab, a Milan-based atelier known for its dedication to mechanical excellence and design creativity. “All Versace watches are proudly Swiss Made,” Daniela explains, “ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and precision.” The approach is one of balance: technical mastery meets fashion flair. “Versace’s heritage, deeply rooted in artistic boldness, is infused into each creation… resulting in watches that are both technically sophisticated and unmistakably fashionable.”
For Spring-Summer 2025, mythological and celestial themes take center stage, continuing Versace’s tradition of storytelling through design. The Versace Reveal and the Galaxy Moonphase are standout models in this regard, blending timeless mythos with modern luxury. “In markets like the Middle East, where storytelling, symbolism, and heritage play a pivotal role, these designs are particularly resonant,” Daniela Di Luca notes, highlighting how ancient inspiration meets commercial strategy. In an increasingly diversified luxury landscape, the watch division is not an afterthought but an integral player in the Versace lifestyle universe. “There is a constant and strategic collaboration between Maison’s Creative Direction and our Marketing team to ensure that every timepiece reflects the brand’s iconic visual language,” Daniela says.
Whether featured in global campaigns, integrated into in-store experiences, or showcased on digital platforms, the Versace watch is portrayed as “not just an accessory, but a central character in the world of Versace.” Looking ahead, the Maison has ambitious plans for its watch division, particularly in key luxury markets such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
“These countries are not only commercially strategic,” says Mrs. Di Luca, “but they also resonate strongly with Versace’s bold aesthetic and appreciation for high craftsmanship.” Rather than adopting a universal strategy, Versace emphasizes cultural immersion and tailored design. “We are committed to developing exclusive launches and market-specific collections that speak directly to the cultural values and style sensibilities of the local clientele.” In close collaboration with Creative Director Giorgio Galli, the brand is creating timepieces that remain “true to Versace’s iconic DNA - Medusa, Greca, and a fearless approach to luxury- while adapting the materials, details, and narratives to suit the preferences of each market.”
