Istituto Marangoni Dubai Has Introduced New Specialised Programmes For 2023

Istituto Marangoni, one of the world's leading fashion and design schools, has continued to enhance its range of courses available at its newly opened campus in Dubai.

The new programmes include Fashion Design & Styling and Portfolio Design, which features an exclusive collaboration with world-renowned fashion talent and scout, Sara Sozzani Maino.

 

Fashion Design & Styling Intensive Programme

16th of January 2023 - 15th September 2023

The Fashion Design & Styling Intensive programme introduces students to the fundamental skills and tools to work in the fields of fashion design and styling.

The programme provides students the opportunity to develop their skill by choosing between two different options: Fashion Collection Development or Styling & Creative Direction.

The Styling & Creative Direction module provides students with the main techniques in contemporary image creation covering the international worlds of luxury, fashion and publishing. Whilst the Fashion Collection Development module enables students to understand and apply skills involved in garment construction and pattern cutting aimed at developing a fashion collection, complete with fabrics manipulation, technical drawings, illustrations with a personal style.

Portfolio Design

27th of March 2023 – 7th April 2023

The Personal Portfolio Preparation short course features an exclusive collaboration with world-renowned talent scout Sara Sozzani Maino (Scouting and Educational Initiatives Advisor Vogue Italia & International Brand Ambassador Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana). It is designed to equip students with the visual skills they need to communicate their design ideas. They are introduced to some of the most important notions of sketching and drawing, as well as digital design skills for visual communication and representation.

Located in Gate 8 at the DIFC, Istituto Marangoni Dubai offers students a contemporary and stylish environment equipped with all the industry- and sector-specific facilities, including drawing and sketching room, pattern & cutting room, fabric library, fashion and design book library and an outdoor terrace.

With 70% of the academic staff coming from Italy and the others recruited locally, Istituto Marangoni provides students with the innovative “learning by doing” teaching approach that blends the traditional academic studies with the creative and practical activities.

Thanks to its international network of eight established schools in Milan, Florence, Paris, London, Mumbai, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Miami, students also have the opportunity to begin their studies in one school, and complete them in another via Cross School Study Options.
