Ambition & Influence

Luana Vjollca
Luana Vjollca

Luana Vjollca, an Albanian superstar, a legendary showstopper, a goddess-these are fitting descriptions of this sensational woman. However, there is something more to her than meets the eye. This cover story explores her insights and thoughts, her inspirations and dreams. Prepare to be even more mesmerized by this Albanian stunner, because she is not just all looks; she has a big heart and an even bigger mind.

L'Officiel: Luana, with over two decades on screen, you remain one of Albania's most talked-about figures. How do you define this longevity in an industry known for being both demanding and unforgiving?

Luana Vjollca: This is a very good question. You see, I started working at fifteen, when I went from modeling to television because I wanted to talk, to host, to show personality and mind, not only image. Now, twenty-plus years later, here I am, still going strong and with so much to give and offer.

To me, the most important thing is to know my worth. With this said, I had to be in charge of everything I do, every decision I make, even if it means saying "no" to offers that promise fame and fortune. I definitely took my time introspecting and assessing what career moves I needed to tread on and build around. So, to answer your question, it all boils down to having a disciplined self-authorship mindset. That's my very definition of longevity.

L'Officiel : Today, Luana Vjollca stands as a brand in her own right. When did you first recognise the moment your name transcended from public figure to brand?

LV : Well, I'd say this happened gradually. From a television host, author, singer, and most recently, actress. My fans shared the same excitement and enthusiasm I had with whatever I did. I thought long and hard to do something else that would push myself to my limits because that's the kind of person I am. It was in 2025 when I took the leap and created my brand, LU7U, and the rest, as they say, is history. From launch, it took off. It became an instant hit in Albania and even took it to the US, particularly in Florida quite recently, where it was well received as well.

L'Officiel:"LU7U by Luana Vjollca" has been described as a launch that instantly captured attention online. What sparked the anticipation around its debut, and what does the brand represent to you on a personal level?

LV : The premium materials and cutting-edge designs. I made sure that the designs are provocative, but all for the right reasons. I want to celebrate every dangerous curve of a female body, but in a classy and timeless way. Once I started teasing how form-flattering and figure-hugging, yet respectable, my designs were, I was inundated with messages left and right. So, the brand represents bold and powerful, yet delicate femininity.

I spent years sourcing credible and respected manufacturers and carefully selected materials myself. When women wear LU7U, I want them to immediately feel their best in their own skin, to love the skin they are in, so to speak, while still being elegant. I want to empower women through self-expression that makes them feel edgy and confident at the same time.

L'Officiel :As one of the most sought-after faces in fashion and the visionary behind your own label, what do you think gives your collaborations their distinctive success, and why would you choose yourself to embody the essence of your own brand?

LV : I stay involved. In fact, I am very much involved in every process: design concept, advertising, marketing, sales, operations, logistics, materials sourcing, everything. Furthermore, I understand what works visually, but I also embrace the quality, fit, and intention of every piece I put out. Therefore, my collaborations become deeply meaningful and, of course, feasible, because everyone is in on the vision and what my brand, LU7U, stands for.

Oh, by the way, I am also closely working with other companies and brands, those who share the same values as mine, and it has been amazing. It's always my pleasure to share insights, expertise, techniques, and talents with like-minded people.

Now, in terms of choosing myself as the embodiment of my brand, I mean, come on, who better to model it than the creator, right? No, seriously, it's second nature. I know my brand because I created everything from square one. As such, it is easier for me to model my creations because I am an expert in its very essence, inside and out.

L'Officiel :For years, you have dominated the Albanian television scene with shows that bear your creative signature. What can audiences expect next from Luana Vjollca in the world of television?

LV: Television will always be part of me, but I'm very selective now. I already achieved a lot early, and I say this with all humility. I am honored and feel so blessed. But I need to be mindful of my next move. I don't want to jump on every opportunity because of its vague promises or visions that I don't align with. But here's something exciting. I am embarking on a new journey that's going to take me to new places. I am confident I have the right team to make this happen for me. Listen, anything is possible, just wait and see.

L'Officiel: From the very beginning, you have used your voice to empower girls and women. How did the "Thuaje" movement come to life, and what inspired you to make it your mission? Today, as a symbol of success for a new generation, particularly your "LuanaTor" community, do you feel the weight of this influence? Are there moments when vulnerability exists beyond the strength we see on screen and on social media?

LV :Thuaje was never something I sat down and decided to create. It came from how I have always been. From the beginning, I spoke the way I felt, even when it was uncomfortable. I saw very early how many girls and women were holding things inside and were afraid of being judged, so saying "Thuaje" simply meant saying what you feel is fine, that it's okay to be your own person without thinking about what others would think about you.

What inspired me was real life. Conversations with women, messages I received, moments where I realized my voice was helping someone else find theirs. I never wanted to tell women who to be, rather to make them feel confident enough to express themselves in the most authentic way. Thuaje became a mindset and a celebration of courage, self-respect, and honesty.

As for the LuanaTor community, I feel deep gratitude for being with me since the very beginning. Of course, I understand the responsibility that comes with influence, and I take it seriously, because I want to empower in every little thing that I do, whether it's through the TV shows I am part of, my social media posts, music videos, speaking engagements, and everything else in between.

And yes, vulnerability exists. Very much so. Strength doesn't mean having everything figured out or feeling fearless all the time. There are moments when I question myself, but the difference is that I don't hide that from myself anymore. I allow space for those moments, because they are part of growth.

What people see on screen is confidence, but behind that is a lot of hard work and dedication. Oh my! You have no idea! That is what Thuaje truly means to me.

L'Officiel: There is always anticipation around your next move. Is there anything you feel ready to share at this moment? Known for your empowering voice, especially toward young women, we'd love to close this conversation with a quote from you-one that reflects your philosophy and resonates with our audience. Alternatively, a guiding principle that has shaped your journey and that you wish to pass on to others.

LV: There is a lot to be excited about. For one, I have this speaking engagement in Dubai during the Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion, where I'll be discussing "The Growth of Regional Powerhouses," and I can't wait. This gives me the opportunity to let people in on my entrepreneurial vision and mindset, something that not many people get to see. So we can start here.

And the rest? Just stay tuned. Alright, so a quote-I'd say, "Never be afraid to reach for the stars! Go for it by working hard and believing in yourself! You can do it!" As simple as it may seem, I have been telling myself this every single day for the past twenty years or so, and it has never failed me.
