The memory of a day skiing amidst the snow-capped peaks of Madonna di Campiglio is at the heart of “Winter Snowflake Adventure”,the FW 24/25 collection by MARYLING. A magical immersion in nature becomes the pretext for creating an elegant and comfortable, modern and colorful collection that charmingly reinterprets the evolution of sport and its increasingly recognizable, iconic, andluxuriously functional style interacting with fashion.

At the center is the classic hand made Christmas sweater that, with the skilful use of color blocking and traditional knit motif, creates new objects of desire full of captivating vibes. MARYLING bases the soul of its proposal on an assortment of alluring and inspiring artistic elements: snow art and its patterns created by Simon Beck, the land artist famous for his works on fresh snow; the snowflake photographer Wilson A. Bentley, a pioneer in representing a microscopic world, as evanescent as it is fascinating; and the American artist Doug Aitken, a master at creating architectural mirages with mirrors.

Thus, tracks on the snow are transformed into silk habotai printed in black and white; mountain landscapes, postcard views, and shades of pink, white, and indigo blue adorn chiffon dresses and amplify the character of down jackets, the mountain outerwear par excellence, puff bags and quilted scarves. Neoprene takes on psychedelic tones while monochromatic garments preserve the typical comfort of sportswear while simultaneously celebrating their essence with vibrant hues designed to stand out on the snow.

Knitwear with intarsia is also featured. Jacquard knits are characterized by iconic symbols of the winter season transformed into knit patterns and luxurious yarns, paired with classic textures of MARYLING such as long wool, cashmere and mohair coats, capes, and tailored outerwear in camel, sand, chocolate and blush shades.

Patterns glamorously reinterpret the concept of ski holidays and the beauty of winter amidst frozen trees, mountain peaks and a warm relaxing atmosphere. The lines of the garments are inspired by iconic sportswear shapes accented with edgy design details and emphasized with luxurious and elegant workmanship that brings snow couture even to the city.
