Market Journeys

Inspired by the colours, textures and traditions of the Mediterranean, Giorgio Armani's latest collections explore the meeting point between Italian tailoring and cultures shaped by travel, craftsmanship and exchange.

The Mediterranean has always been a crossroads where people, ideas and traditions meet. It is this spirit of movement and cultural dialogue that defines Mediterranean Market, the latest collection conceived by Leo Dell'Orco. Drawing inspiration from bustling marketplaces, coastal landscapes and the heritage of Italian tailoring, the collection reflects a wardrobe shaped by discovery and craftsmanship.

Light plays a central role throughout the collection. Sun-bleached whites, warm earth tones, spice-inspired shades, cobalt blue and soft gold create a palette that recalls seaside towns and historic ports. Natural fabrics, including linen, cotton, shantung and other refined fibres, reinforce the relaxed character while highlighting texture and comfort.

The silhouettes echo the rhythm of travel. Safari jackets introduce a casual attitude, longer jackets add fluidity, while slim trousers and airy shirts balance structure with freedom of movement. Tailoring remains the foundation, enriched by embroidery, textured fabrics and carefully considered details inspired by cultures connected through centuries of trade across the Mediterranean. Oversized totes, spacious bags and supple footwear complete the look, reinforcing the idea of mobility.

The womenswear offering, part of the Giorgio Armani Cruise 2027 collection, marks the first collection designed by Silvana Armani. Sharing the same creative landscape, it presents jackets, coats and dresses designed to move naturally with the body. Softly constructed silhouettes are paired with a palette of warm neutrals, lifted by accents of sky blue and dusty lilac. Menswear references appear throughout, interpreted with elegance and subtle refinement.

Rooted in Italian craftsmanship and inspired by the cultures surrounding the Mediterranean, both collections explore how tradition continues to shape modern dressing.
