The pleasure of perfection. Exquisite construction, carefully crafted proportions and research into new materials and colours form the groundwork for unique items that appeal to a wide array of women of different ages and lifestyles. Jackets from the Sartorial Suit Project can be worn on any occasion and at any time of day, responding to the needs and dynamic lives of a new generation who pay closer attention to quality and authenticity.

Max Mara’s canvassed jackets are inspired by the workmanship of men’s tailoring.

It takes 345 minutes of meticulous work, twice as long as a standard jacket, to carefully make each item. The use of a canvas interlining and meticulous ironing define the jackets from the Sartorial Suit Project, creating items that naturally fit the female figure.

The jacket is the perfect garment to wear for business or leisure, in complete looks or coordinated outfits. The Max Mara Tailored Suit Project explores feminine sensuality: a new kind of luxury based on simplicity, authenticity, feeling and versatility.

There are seven single- or double-breasted tailored styles.

The perfect masculine-style jacket stands out among the season’s distinctive items, defined by perfect proportions, updated fabrics and colours, and new silhouettes that are either slightly shorter or longer, showcasing a higher, more feminine waist.

For Spring Summer 2023, meticulous research into prime materials translates into precious wool and silk fabrics, high-comfort wool-mohair blends and iridescent wool-mohair blends, pinstriped wools and brushed pure cashmere in very light tones. The linings are contrasting, in a sky-blue chambray reminiscent of men’s shirts or in mustard-coloured satin.

This season, colours renew the jacket, both for complete looks and mix-and-match outfits for various occasions.

The palette ranges from light neutrals, from shades like cream, salt, sand and malt to navy blue, along with bolder tones like paprika, iris, sage and ocean. Jet black is also featured, which may be paired with the new colours (with mustard and sky-blue hints).

The Max Mara canvassed Tailored Suit Project is deliberately classic, in a way that speaks to a timeless modernity.
