Legacy brands are defined by their ability to carry history forward while remaining relevant in the present moment. Few names embody this honour, quite like OMEGA. For more than nine decades, the Swiss watchmaker has stood at the centre of one of the world’s most prestigious sporting stages, shaping the way time is measured.
Recently, inside the OMEGA boutique at The Dubai Mall, that legacy was brought to life through an immersive experience that invited guests to step into the brand’s long standing relationship with the Olympic Games. A section of the boutique was thoughtfully transformed into a visual journey, tracing OMEGA’s timekeeping evolution through historic photographs, archival references, and a curated display of modern instruments currently in use at the Winter Olympics Milano Cortina 2026 in Italy.
The setting, designed like a living archive offered a space for visitors to journey through decades of innovation, seeing how the brand’s technical precision has supported athletes and defined sporting milestones across generations. Alongside the historic narrative, earlier classic OMEGA watches associated with past Olympic moments were also showcased, grounding the experience in heritage and craftsmanship.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of three special timepieces created to mark Milano Cortina 2026. The OMEGA Seamaster 37 mm Milano Cortina edition featured a polished caseback adorned with a commemorative medallion bearing the official emblem of the Games. The OMEGA Speedmaster 38 mm, with its white varnished dial layered with light blue frosting, offered a fresh, winter inspired interpretation, complete with a subtle pattern referencing the number “26.” Completing the trio, the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M captured a distinctly wintry aesthetic, crafted in white ceramic and grade 5 titanium and presented on a white rubber strap, with the Milano Cortina emblem stamped on the caseback.
OMEGA’s role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games now spans 32 editions since 1932, a testament to its enduring precision and relevance. The Dubai showcase served as a reminder that while technology evolves, the pursuit of accuracy, innovation and excellence remains constant.
