Paris Modest Fashion Week 2026 Brings Global Energy to the French Capital

Designers from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the United States presented collections shaped by culture, craftsmanship, and new industry perspectives

Paris Modest Fashion Week 2026 returned to Hôtel Le Marois for its 11th edition, gathering designers, buyers, media representatives, and digital creators from over 20 countries. Organised by Think Fashion, the three-day event once again confirmed Paris as an important meeting point for the international modest fashion industry, where cultural identity, business development, and contemporary design continue to intersect.

This season’s edition focused on the growing influence of modest fashion across global markets, presenting collections that reflected regional craftsmanship, modern tailoring, artisanal techniques, and changing consumer expectations. Alongside runway presentations, the program included panel discussions, networking sessions, brand showcases, and a dedicated B2B showroom designed to strengthen relationships between brands and retailers.

The runway opened with a strong international lineup that immediately demonstrated the diversity of today’s modest fashion landscape. Serbian label Sedzda Couture introduced architectural silhouettes paired with precise tailoring and structured forms. Indonesia’s Nada Puspita brought a softer direction to the runway through feminine layering and fluid fabrics, while French brand Soutoura merged Parisian street style with relaxed modest dressing.

Qatari label Hindami, founded by Sara Al Muhannadi, presented abayas and jalabiyas designed for both formal occasions and everyday wear. Turkish designer Hilal Oğuzkan focused on sculptural cuts and clean lines, while Roqaia Fashion House from Kuwait referenced regional identity through traditional influences adapted for a modern audience.

Several designers approached modest fashion through storytelling and craftsmanship. Nigerian brand Flaunt Archive used artistic references and personal narratives across layered looks and textured fabrics. Ozoda from Uzbekistan combined Eastern heritage with hand-finished details and luxurious materials, creating one of the most visually rich presentations of the event. Arsumerzaeva from Russia focused on handcrafted headwear and refined garment construction, while Afrik Abaya presented the “MATA” collection inspired by resilience, expressed through flowing silhouettes and gradual colour transitions.

Spanish designer Tamara Press introduced the “BLING” collection, centred around dramatic proportions, embellished textures, and sharp structure. In contrast, Summer Evenings from the United States delivered evening-wear with a cleaner, understated approach shaped by Syrian-American cultural influences. Turkish label Garzia also stood out for its balance between heritage references and wearable contemporary pieces.

The second day shifted toward bridal-wear, accessories, swimwear, and contemporary ready-to-wear collections. Russian bridal house Aynaeva presented gowns influenced by family heritage and ceremonial dressing traditions, while Dahlia Bridal from the United Kingdom combined Middle Eastern inspiration with customisable couture details.

Mayovera from Turkey explored the growing demand for modest swimwear through functional cuts and lightweight materials designed for comfort and movement. Australian label Asiyam showcased detailed embroidery and luxurious textiles that have become signatures of the brand on international runways.

Accessories also played an important role this season. Asmau Ardo from the United Kingdom presented handcrafted Italian footwear designed as wearable art, while French brand Nour Turban focused on modern headwear in soft tones and carefully selected fabrics.

One of the strongest aspects of PMFW 2026 was its ability to connect emerging brands with commercial opportunities. The final day transformed the venue into a business-focused environment where designers could meet buyers, retailers, and industry professionals directly. The Exclusive B2B Showroom allowed brands to present collections in a more personal setting, creating space for conversations around distribution, retail partnerships, and international expansion.

Panel discussions addressed topics currently shaping the global fashion industry, including artificial intelligence in fashion design, digital storytelling, branding strategies, and shifting consumer behaviour. These conversations reflected the changing priorities of fashion businesses as technology and digital communication continue to influence how collections are created and presented.

Özlem Sahin, CEO of Modest Fashion Weeks by Think Fashion, emphasised the importance of adapting to these industry shifts while continuing to support designers through international platforms and business opportunities. Her vision for PMFW continues to position the event as a space where fashion presentation and commercial strategy develop side by side.

Beyond the runway and business program, the atmosphere throughout the week highlighted the growing international community surrounding modest fashion. Designers, influencers, stylists, editors, and entrepreneurs from different cultural backgrounds gathered in Paris with a shared interest in creativity, representation, and market growth.
