Ralph Lauren: New Stirrup Timepieces

Launched in 2009, the Stirrup collection is at the heart of the Ralph Lauren brand. The collection has become a contemporary icon in the watchmaking world, reflecting Ralph Lauren’s passion for equestrian style. “I wanted to celebrate the grace and beauty of horse riding, an elegant equestrian heritage—but at the same time create something that would be iconic and timeless,” says Ralph Lauren.

On the eve of the 15th birthday of the Stirrup Watches Collection, Ralph Lauren introduces two new addition to its iconic Collection with elegant Stirrup Small and a Petite-Link, both set with one row of diamonds.

The Ralph Lauren Stirrup Petite-Link embellished with one row of diamonds is introduced with a case measuring a mere 23.30mm by 27mm. Perfectly sized for the female wrist, this modern interpretation of Ralph Lauren’s equestrian heritage contrasts the brand’s iconic stirrup-shaped case with a jewelry-inspired bracelet. Composed of intertwining links with one row of diamonds flowing into one another, the bracelet adapts seamlessly to the wrist’s contour for an optimal level of comfort.

With its unique stirrup silhouette, supple chain-link bracelet set with 84 stones (~0.72 Ct) and refined dial, this timepiece captures the essence of Ralph Lauren’s approach to designing women’s watches: “A watch for a woman is a piece of jewelry; it’s an heirloom,” says Mr. Lauren.

The white lacquered & polished dial is complemented by classic black Roman numerals, minute markers and sword-shaped hands—all encompassed by a beautifully curved sapphire crystal.

Second, the Ralph Lauren Stirrup Small Timepiece brings further versatility to the Stirrup Collection, with a 27.70mm by 29.30mm stainless steel case in the instantly recognizable stirrup shape. Every element is achieved with the designer’s signature attention to detail, from the immaculately executed dial, with its Roman numerals and minute track, to the convex sapphire crystal and black oxidized sword-shaped hands.

This Stirrup Small timepiece is offered with a case set with 60 stones (~0.69 Ct) on a luxurious black calf strap with black stitching. A detail that equestrian fans will appreciate is the small leather flap that attaches the top of the watchcase to the strap, emulating the stirrup leather of a rider’s saddle. This unique interchangeable strap consists of a small tab and stud closure at the top of the watchcase, made to mimic the contour of a saddle. Other distinctive equestrian details include the watch’s stirrup shaped buckle that complements its matching case. A wide selection of colored straps in alligator or calf leather are available in new colorways from white, red, bright navy to marine navy, allowing the wearer to mix and match to their personal style.

A Ralph Lauren timepiece is crafted to the highest standards of Swiss precision. Powered by either a Swiss manufactured quartz movement in the mini, petite, and small models, or a Swiss manufactured mechanical self- winding movement in the medium and large models. Each movement is hand-finished with vertical Côtes de Genève stripes and circular graining, known as Perlage.
