Range Rover Named Official Partner for Wimbledon Championships: Leaders in Modern British Luxury

In an unprecedented collaboration, Range Rover has been confirmed as the Official Vehicle Partner for The Championships, Wimbledon, marking the union of two quintessentially British icons for the first time.

Commencing in 2024, this partnership will see Range Rover's luxurious fleet, including the state-of-the-art plug-in electric hybrid Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles, seamlessly transporting players, their teams, and event officials throughout the prestigious Grand Slam tournament. The eco-friendly fleet will be charged at The All England Lawn Tennis Club using 100% renewable electricity, ensuring near-silent operation during The Championships.

As part of this collaboration, Range Rover branding will be prominently displayed on the speed of serve displays on both Centre Court and No.1 Court, adding a touch of modern sophistication to the traditional elegance of Wimbledon.

The Championships at Wimbledon, a highlight of the British summer sports calendar, is viewed by millions around the globe. For the first time, Range Rover will support this esteemed event as its Official Vehicle Partner for 2024, succeeding Jaguar and continuing JLR’s legacy of more than a decade of support for The Championships.

Renowned for its breathtaking modernity, peerless refinement, and unmatched capability, Range Rover has been at the forefront of luxury SUVs for over fifty years. Every Range Rover model is available as a plug-in electric hybrid, with the eagerly anticipated fully electric Range Rover set to be unveiled later this year.

The sophisticated fleet, featuring the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in electric hybrid models, will utilize on-site charging facilities to maximize their pure electric driving range of up to 75 miles. This initiative aligns with Wimbledon’s commitment to reducing vehicle emissions as part of its broader environmental goals. The on-site charging infrastructure, powered by renewable electricity, at the recently completed Indoor Tennis Centre, is a testament to the All England Club’s dedication to achieving net-zero operational emissions by 2030.

With this partnership, Range Rover and Wimbledon Championships embody the epitome of modern British luxury, setting a new standard for elegance and sustainability in the world of sports.

Geraldine Ingham, Range Rover Managing Director, said:As an iconic British cultural event watched by millions across the world, The Championships provides the ideal opportunity for Range Rover to engage with our global clients with creative storytelling, that perfectly captures the elegance and refinement of our vehicles and the synergies between our two modern luxury brands.”

Deborah Jevans CBE, Chair of the All England Club, which stages The Championships, said: We are delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnership with JLR with the announcement of Range Rover as Official Vehicle Partner. I am particularly pleased with the inclusion of a significant number of lower emission plug-in hybrid vehicles in the fleet, with a focus on as many journeys as possible being delivered in EV mode. This is another step towards our goal of achieving net zero operational emissions by 2030."

The Championships is set to take place from 1 to 14 July 2024 at The All England Lawn Tennis Club.
