For Fall/Winter 2026, Santoni turns toward a moment of quiet transformation: the instant before dawn when light slowly reveals the contours of the world. Titled Aurora, the collection draws its emotional vocabulary from this suspended atmosphere, translating the soft luminosity of early morning into leather, color, and silhouette.

The narrative begins in Le Marche, the region that has long shaped the Maison’s identity. Here, winter landscapes inspire a palette that feels both grounded and luminous. Shades such as Velo pink, Mura green, Autunno brown, Mosto red, and the burnt orange tone that lends the collection its name evoke soil, foliage, and light filtered through cold air. The chromatic richness is not decorative but structural: color becomes the medium through which Santoni articulates its craftsmanship.

At the heart of this language lies Velatura, the Maison’s signature hand-coloring technique that evokes the idea of a veil, hence the name “velatura.” Applied layer by layer, pigments are brushed onto leather with measured precision, creating surfaces that reveal depth rather than uniformity. Each shoe carries subtle tonal variations, the mark of human gesture embedded in the material.

This interplay between technique and color finds its clearest expression in the Sibille pump, crafted in natural Origine calfskin. Its clean silhouette allows Velatura to emerge as the central protagonist, transforming the pump into an object where artisanal tradition meets contemporary sensuality.

Elsewhere, heritage codes evolve. The Ira Double Buckle reinterprets Santoni’s classic masculine icon through softer volumes and refined proportions, while the Nina Buckles Over-the-Knee boot extends the buckle motif along the length of the leg, turning structure into decoration.

The Aurora narrative expands beyond footwear. Santoni introduces a refined selection of foulards and scarves, whose chromatic gradations echo the layered transparency of the Velatura technique, translating its painterly depth into fluid textiles. Alongside them appear shearling coats, conceived as outerwear pieces that bring the collection’s tactile richness into a broader wardrobe.

Santoni Aurora Bar (à parfums)

During Milan Fashion Week, Santoni translated the spirit of Aurora into an environment that echoed the collection’s chromatic narrative. Photography by Sophie Delaporte introduced visitors to the tonal language of the season, exploring light, rhythm, and color through a series of images that mirrored the layered character of Velatura.

From there, the experience unfolded through spaces designed to reflect the Maison’s dialogue between craftsmanship and atmosphere. The Bar Aurora (à parfums) extended the collection’s palette into a curated olfactory dimension inspired by the landscapes of Le Marche. Notes evoking earth, warmth, and mineral depth accompanied the presentation, reinforcing the collection’s connection to territory and material culture.

In this setting, the presentation became not only a showcase of objects but an invitation to enter Santoni’s universe, where color, craft, and environment converge in a single narrative.
