The Theatre of Digital Art invites audiences for an awe-inspiring journey into the world of Vincent Van Gogh, one of the most influential figures in the history of Western art. From the 1st of February until the 28th, catch a room full of dancing colours and glistening lights that will transport visitors into another realm.

The exhibition successfully integrates digital art, educational content, and a digital actor “Van Gogh” himself to offer a truly immersive experience. A voiceover narrates the life of the artist through his own eyes, captured in the many letters he wrote to his brother. Projections animate the ceiling and all the walls around the visitors, including the stage area, giving visitors a sensation of the artist’s paintings as if they are living and breathing. The experience lasts 45 minutes and runs on a loop with no beginning or end accompanied by a combination of neo-classical and classical music signifying the artist's tumultuous journey.

“Being Van Gogh” brings the authentically raw story of Vincent Van Gogh and his artistic affair. With humble beginnings as a struggling artist who suffered from both physical and mental illness, Van Gogh was able to fight against all odds despite being institutionalized and created some of the world’s most iconic paintings. His ambiguity and impression, use of striking colour, and emphatic brushwork have created masterpieces that have profoundly influenced the art of the 20th century and rising millennials today.

The exhibition will showcase the best of the post-impressionist era and the evolution of Van Gogh’s art throughout the years. Guests can get up close and personal with over 300 digital renders of Van Gogh paintings and sketches, from The Potato Eaters (1885), Starry Night (1889), Almond Blossoms (1890) to Wheatfield with Crows (1890), placing visitors at the heart of each masterpiece. The audience has the option to sit down and submerge themselves into the artwork, or walk around and fulfil their dream of stepping inside the painting itself.

The paintings of the great artist are stored in many galleries and private collections all over the world. To be shown on one immersive platform is a rarity that the Theatre of Digital Art is making a reality for its audiences.  Create memories within the masterpieces of Van Gogh and walk away with a whole new level of appreciation for fine art.

Make sure you catch this sensational experience, available to book every day from 10 am - 10 pm with tickets priced at AED 125 and family packages available, only at the Theatre of Digital Art.
