The One Returns

Dolce & Gabbana marks a new chapter for its signature fragrance line with fresh creations and a high-profile campaign led by Madonna and Alberto Guerra.

Twenty years after its debut, Dolce & Gabbana’s The One fragrance line enters a renewed phase, combining new olfactive expressions with a powerful visual narrative. To accompany the relaunch and the introduction of two new scents, The One Eau de Parfum Intense and The One Pour Homme Parfum, the Italian house unveils a striking campaign shot by renowned photographer Mert Alas. At its centre are Madonna, a cultural figure whose influence spans generations, and actor Alberto Guerra, whose presence brings a contemporary masculine energy to the story.

Since its launch in 2006, The One has stood as a fragrance associated with individuality, sensuality and personal magnetism. Designed for those who choose to be noticed on their own terms, the line has consistently expressed confidence and character. This anniversary moment does not seek to break from that identity, but to deepen it, presenting richer compositions that speak to today’s audience while respecting the foundations of the original fragrances.

The campaign plays a key role in this evolution. Madonna’s return to the Dolce & Gabbana universe reinforces the enduring connection between the artist and the brand. Her image, commanding and self-assured, reflects the spirit of The One: a fragrance that conveys presence without explanation. Opposite her, Alberto Guerra embodies a modern vision of masculinity; intense, grounded and quietly charismatic. Through Mert Alas’s lens, the campaign unfolds as a study in contrast and connection, capturing intimacy, strength and allure in carefully composed frames.

The One Eau de Parfum Intense, created by perfumer Quentin Bisch, offers a more concentrated interpretation of the original feminine signature. Notes of pink pepper, mandarin and blackcurrant introduce a vibrant opening, leading into a radiant jasmine heart. The base reveals creamy vanilla and warm ambery tones that settle softly on the skin, leaving a lasting impression designed for women who express confidence through subtle authority.

For men, The One Pour Homme Parfum, composed by Jean-Christophe Hérault, explores deeper, spicier territory. Black pepper, nutmeg and tarocco orange open the fragrance with energy and warmth. The heart blends labdanum, patchouli and clary sage, while tobacco, vetiver and amber notes form a smoky, textured base. The result is a scent that unfolds gradually, revealing complexity over time.

Both fragrances are presented in updated bottles that echo the architectural lines of the originals. The One Eau de Parfum Intense appears in amber-gold glass with a gold cap, while The One Pour Homme Parfum is housed in amber-toned glass with a glossy black cap. The designs reinforce continuity within the line, paired with a renewed visual clarity.

Alongside these introductions, the existing fragrances remain central to The One story. The One Eau de Parfum for women and The One for Men Eau de Parfum continue to anchor the collection, now supported by enhanced performance and refreshed packaging.

With its latest chapter, Dolce & Gabbana positions The One as a fragrance line shaped by identity, image and emotion. Through new scents and a campaign led by two compelling personalities, the house reaffirms a message that has resonated for two decades: true presence needs no declaration.
