There is an unspoken hierarchy in oud, and Kinam sits at the very top of it. While oud has become the defining note of modern luxury fragrance - omnipresent in Dubai and coveted globally, Kinam sits in a category of its own. Formed only under exceptional conditions and harvested in the smallest quantities, it is considered the purest, most rarefied expression of the material. Clive Christian has sourced it exclusively. There is only one place on earth where you will find it: their newly opened Dubai flagship.

The store itself is worth the visit. Conceived in collaboration with Harry Nuriev - the architect and designer behind Crosby Studios whose subversive approach to space has made him one of the most talked-about names in interiors, the Dubai flagship is a sensory experience: minimalism in tension with opulence, restraint pushed up against rarity. It is, in the best possible way, unsettling in its beauty.

Kinam, the fragrance, opens with saffron, nutmeg and davana - warmth and spice with immediate intensity. A striking metallic accord introduces a cooler, contemporary edge before osmanthus and Rose de Mai soften the shift. As the fragrance settles, its true depth is revealed: a base of pure Kinam oud enriched with amber and sandalwood, creating a trail that is both commanding and unforgettable. Much like the city it calls home, this is luxury in his purest, rarest form.
