The Art of Luxury Living Nour Al Jabri

Where Italian heritage meets Dubai’s futuristic elegance.

In the ever-evolving world of luxury interiors, Nour Al Jabri stands as one of the region’s most influential voices — a designer whose work blends Italian artistry with Dubai’s futuristic ambition.

Educated in Italy and now shaping the aesthetic of Dubai’s elite homes, Nour has become a leading interior designer and luxury lifestyle influencer, recently honored by MEA Markets with titles including Best Interior Designer and Lifestyle Influencer.

Her journey is a testament to passion, precision, and the belief that design is not just visual — it is emotional.

“I want my children to see a mother who built her dreams with grace.”

L'Officiel Arabia: Nour, today you’re recognized as one of the region’s leading interior designers and luxury décor influencers. How did this journey begin?

Nour: Italy was my foundation. Studying there immersed me in a world where art is everywhere — in the architecture, the museums, the craftsmanship and even in the way people live.

It taught me harmony, proportion, balance and most importantly, the emotional power of design.

When I moved to Dubai, I found a city that felt like the future. I saw an opportunity to bring together the timelessness of Italian design with Dubai’s innovation and ambition.

That combination naturally became part of my signature.

As my work grew, so did my understanding of what interior design really means to me. I realized I wasn’t simply designing beautiful interiors. I was creating a lifestyle and shaping the way people feel and live within their homes.

For me, a successful interior is not only something beautiful to look at. It should make you feel something.

You recently won major awards from MEA Markets, including Best Interior Designer and Lifestyle Influencer. What does this recognition mean to you?

Recognition is always beautiful because it represents years of work, learning, challenges and evolution.

But for me, an award is not what defines success. What matters most is seeing my work evolve, seeing my clients genuinely connect with the spaces I create and knowing that I am continuously growing creatively and professionally.

These recognitions remind me that staying authentic to your vision matters.

They motivate me to keep evolving, experimenting and creating work that has meaning beyond how it looks.

“Italy taught me harmony. Dubai taught me innovation.”

Dubai attracts millionaires and celebrities from around the world. How does this influence your design approach?

Dubai is a global magnet for ambition and luxury. People who come here appreciate art, exclusivity and exceptional attention to detail.

Designing for these clients constantly pushes me to evolve because they are not simply looking for a beautiful home. They want an experience.

Their homes need to reflect their identity, their travels, their achievements and the way they live.

Working with high-profile clients has also taught me that true luxury is deeply personal. What feels luxurious to one person may be completely different for another.

That is why I personalize every detail while maintaining absolute discretion.

For me, luxury is never about adding more. It is about choosing what is right.

Dubai also attracts global brands. How does this abundance of choice shape your design process?

Dubai gives us access to some of the best brands, materials, craftsmanship and technology from around the world. But having endless choices doesn’t mean using everything.

I’m extremely detail-oriented. I study textures, materials, lighting temperatures, proportions and how every element interacts with the space.

My clients trust me because I approach design holistically. Every corner, every shadow and every reflection has a purpose.

The goal is always harmony. Nothing should feel random or simply added because it is beautiful on its own. Everything needs to belong to the same story.

You often say lighting plays a catalytic role in luxury design. Can you explain why?

Lighting is the soul of a space. It doesn't only allow us to see the design — it determines how we feel inside it.

For me, the right lighting can completely transform the mood of a home. It can make a space feel calmer, warmer, more luxurious and more alive.

Luxury doesn't always come from an expensive fixture. Sometimes it comes from choosing exactly the right temperature, intensity, direction and layers of light.

When lighting is carefully studied, it creates rhythm and balance. It highlights textures, brings materials to life, adds depth to colors and creates the right atmosphere throughout different moments of the day. But beyond the visual impact, lighting has a huge effect on psychological comfort.

The wrong lighting can make even the most beautiful interior feel cold, flat or uncomfortable. The right lighting creates warmth, relaxation and the right mood. It can completely change how you experience a room.

This is why I never treat lighting as an accessory added at the end of a project. It is part of the design language from the beginning, and to me, one supplier that truly understands this philosophy is Huda Lighting.

In your expert opinion, why Huda Lighting is the right choice for you?

What I admire about Huda Lighting is that their approach goes beyond simply offering beautiful fixtures. They understand that lighting is about creating an experience and shaping the atmosphere of a space.

The pieces they bring to their clients can feel like art sculptures — luxurious, expressive and capable of transforming an entire interior.

With more than 25 years of experience and projects across the GCC, the Middle East, Africa and the UK, they've built a strong understanding of how lighting should work alongside architecture and interior design — and a sharp eye for curating the right pieces from the world's leading lighting brands for each project.

To me, great lighting does two things at once — it makes a space work and it makes a space feel.

Huda Lighting understands that balance. Their expertise allows architects, designers, developers and homeowners to find and specify lighting solutions that support both the aesthetic vision and the human experience of a space.

“Luxury is not only about what you see. It’s about how a space makes you feel — and lighting sets that feeling.”

What’s next for you? Will you expand into real estate?

Real estate in Dubai is always evolving and naturally it is an exciting direction for someone working in interiors and lifestyle, so Yes it is a direction I see myself expanding into.

But I am someone who believes in intentional growth. I don’t want to enter a new field simply because it is booming.

Every move I make needs to align with my vision, my experience and the legacy I want to build.

What inspires you? What keeps you motivated?

My children are one of my biggest motivations, I want them to grow up seeing a mother who built something meaningful, who followed her dreams and continued evolving while staying true to herself.

I want them to understand that ambition and a beautiful life can exist together.

And beyond design, I want my journey to inspire women who sometimes feel lost or unsupported.

I believe a woman can be ambitious and feminine, strong and peaceful, successful and still create a life that genuinely feels like her.

For me, success is not only about what you build professionally, It is also about who you become while building it.

“I don’t design luxury only to be seen. I design spaces to be felt.”
