The Rivoli Castle, near Turin, sets the stage for the collection video presentation. Despite its historical architectural setting, this venue highlights the importance of contemporary Italian art, for an exposition that draws on Italy’s world-renowned creativity, rooted in artistic tradition, for the inspiration behind the line of clothing for men. Indeed, tradition and experimentation converge in the Tod’s Fall-Winter 22/23 collection, accentuated by contrasts that reference art and Italian ingenuity.

A creativity that reinvents itself in every period and evolves by looking to the future without ever losing sight of its inherent aesthetics - like the works of Michelangelo Pistoletto, housed in the Castle, where art seamlessly entwines with modernity, serving as a source of inspiration for the collection.

Rooted in extreme craftsmanship and high-quality materials, this line of clothing results in a bold, almost rebellious wardrobe for men.

The Shirt Jacket, distinguishable by its iconic patch pocket and leather trims sporting the hot-stamped logo, affirms its key role as an everyday classic. Aesthetics, lightness and utmost versatility for use at any of time of the day also makes it a must-have for the active man who is always on the move.

Men’s classics take on a new and unusual allure, reversing the function of the finest materials. Bombers and hems sport a fur-effect fabric obtained from a new wool weaving technique. The same fabric also features on the linings of loose-fitting parkas and on the lapels of peacoats.

The knitwear sports large, bold, masculine weaves intertwining earthy colours and reverse embroidery, thus contradicting aesthetic rules and ensuring a relaxed yet confident look for the wearer. Moreover, cashmere makes an appearance in gym wear, with tracksuit-effect trousers paired with tailored outerwear.

SHOES

Contrasts comes under the spotlight in the footwear collection: from functionality to the colour palette, casualwear blends with typically Italian loafer materials in natural forest hues, juxtaposed with urban greys.

The T Lion logo, in a contrasting print, flanks the iconic T Timeless symbol on accessories and buckles.

Tod’s W.G. is the result of the evolutionary path of the Winter Gommino. Featuring bolder, striking proportions, its higher sole stands out even more against the uppers. The refined materials of this iconic Tod’s model contrast with a lived-in leather effect, for a more relaxed masculine appearance. In particular, the new proposals include the brushed, glossy models that make it a real “must have” for the season.

The Gommino is bolder than ever before, with strikingly visible soles featuring much larger rubber pebbles, in a natural evolution of the original shape.

The new sneaker represents the ultimate expression of experimentation with technical materials combined with artisanal know-how, such as the long stitches that are characteristic of saddlery. Suede, technical materials and fine leathers blend to create a running shoe that escapes definition and lies surprisingly close to the world of formal wear.
