Exactly fifty years after founding his iconic fashion house in Milan, Giorgio Armani is marking the milestone with a visionary tribute to his legacy. The 50th anniversary celebrations include the launch of Armani/Archivio, an immersive digital archive, and a landmark exhibition and fashion show at the prestigious Pinacoteca di Brera.
Set to debut on 30 August during the Venice Film Festival, Armani/Archivio is a groundbreaking interactive platform. Carefully curated over years of cataloguing, it brings to life the evolution of the Armani aesthetic, serving as both a digital time capsule and a forward-looking design resource. A permanent physical home for the archive is planned just outside Milan, further cementing the brand’s commitment to cultural preservation and innovation.
The anniversary celebration reaches its crescendo during Milan Fashion Week. On Wednesday, 24 September, the Pinacoteca di Brera will open its doors to an unprecedented exhibition: 150 archival Armani looks, spanning five decades, will be showcased throughout the museum’s grand halls. This marks the first time the revered art institution will host a fashion exhibition, inviting visitors to explore the intersection of style and art through an immersive dialogue between Armani’s timeless design and the gallery’s masterpieces.
The festivities conclude with Giorgio Armani’s Spring/Summer 2026 Women’s Collection, presented on Sunday, 28 September in the historic Courtyard of Honour at Palazzo Brera. Select menswear looks from June’s collection will also feature, making for a spectacular finale to Milan Fashion Week.
With elegance, innovation, and cultural reverence, Giorgio Armani’s 50th anniversary honours the brand’s rich history while shaping the future of fashion.
