Giorgio Armani Womenswear Fall Winter 23-24 Collection: Cipria

Maquillage is always an intimate, personal moment. Just like the atmosphere that pervades this collection and not solely because Giorgio Armani once again invites his guests to the small theatre at Via Borgonuovo 21.

Having crossed the threshold of the Milanese palazzos, hinted to by the elegant marble setting and the harmonious colours and spaces, guests are welcomed into a domestic dimension evoked by the presence of sofa cushions. It feels like a living room, a place for dialogue and socialising, and the wardrobe that accompanies this idea of gentle domesticity is fluid and sublime.

Shapes follow the body and its movements: silky dresses that recall pyjamas, enveloping shawls, soft trousers, pullovers, elongated jackets, and long dresses, in a cosmetic palette of earth, bronze, and powder with touches of mandarin enhanced by an abundance of black kajal. The stylised flower motif is recurrent, a synthesis of grace, delicacy, and discretion. This interior story is accompanied by subtle plays of shiny and matte that range from clothes to accessories, equally soft, including the new model of La Prima. Beaded fringes dance on berets, almost resembling sparkling hairstyles and adding allure and mystery. An enveloping and personal vision that suggests intimacy as an antidote to a moment of theatrical excess.
