Through the Endeavour Chronograph Compax, H. Moser & Cie. and Massena LAB are paying tribute to thewatchmaking approach and spirit of innovation which have always characterised the brand. A symbol ofexploration and discovery, like a relic of a timepiece found in a museum, this model is designed for those who, like great adventurers, are seeking to go beyond the limits of time and space. Taking its design from historicMoser chronographs from the 1940s, the Endeavour Chronograph Compax has a classic "Compax"configuration. With its two sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, one for the small seconds and the other for the 45-minute chronograph, it is perfectly symmetrical, offering an elegant yet functional harmony which resonateswith the scientific universe of the mid-20th century. The presence of a tachymetric scale, which allows theground speed to be measured with precision, also recalls the practical purpose watches would fulfil for thepioneers and explorers of old. Its Funky Blue dial, a true H. Moser & Cie. signature, plays a key role in thisaesthetic, along with the Moser logo in its historic form, while all the technical elements, such as thetachymetric scale, the chronometer graduation, the sub-dials and the hands, feature Super-LumiNova® toensure perfect legibility in any situation, even in the most extreme of conditions, and particularly when thewatch needs to be a reliable tool for navigation within unpredictable environments.
The Endeavour Chronograph Compax, housed in a 41-mm stainless steel case, is paired with a brown kuduleather strap, matched with stitching in a white thread. This detail is an elegant reminder of the features oftenfound on historic dials. At the heart of this case is the H. Moser & Cie. standard automatic movement, which iscombined with a chronograph module to ensure it offers a technical performance worthy of this exceptionaltimepiece.
The design of this collaborative piece, created by Massena LAB, steps away slightly from the minimalistphilosophy usually associated with H. Moser & Cie. However, it faithfully respects the aesthetic of the 1940s,striking a perfect balance between tradition and contemporary boldness. The expertise of William Massena, agreat connoisseur of vintage watchmaking and long-standing friend of H. Moser & Cie., was crucial to thedesign of this piece: "Taking inspiration from Moser chronographs from the 1940s, what intrigued me the mostduring this collaboration was the tension between the maximalist vintage aesthetic of the past and the radicalminimalism at the heart of modern-day H. Moser & Cie. Marrying these two philosophies was a challenge, butthe resulting Endeavour Chronograph Compax is a watch which links the past and present, whilst looking firmlytowards the future.
"Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., explains further: "The Endeavour Chronograph Compax model ismore than just a watch: It is a timeless declaration, a bridge between the past and present, and a marvellousillustration of the ability of both brands to push the limits of innovation ever further, whilst celebrating thewatchmaking heritage of H. Moser & Cie. It does not settle for simply telling a story; it takes you on a journey, immersing its wearer in a world where time meets discovery and innovation.
"H. Moser & Cie.'s own and unique take on Haute Horlogerie.
