The final chapter of a singular olfactory project arrives this season as Henry Jacques introduces the 2025 edition of its Collection de lAtelier. Conceived as a tribute to the house’s proprietary Rose de Mai, the release brings together three fragrances crafted from flowers grown, harvested, and distilled under its direct stewardship. Produced in just 500 sets worldwide, the edition marks the last time this particular extract will be presented as a trilogy.

The story behind the collection traces back to 2023, when the house began working with its first full rose harvest in the South of France. What emerged from those fields challenged familiar interpretations of the flower. Rather than treating the rose as a fixed note, the perfumers approached it as a shifting material, capable of revealing multiple identities depending on its composition. That idea shaped Collection de l’Atelier, a series that mirrors the exploratory process of an artist working through variations of a single subject.

Cultivation played a defining role. Over five years, Henry Jacques developed an ecosystem designed to support the growth of its Rose de Mai without chemical intervention. Traditional farming methods guided the process, from manual soil care to natural pest management. Each harvest was carried out by hand, yielding flowers with distinct aromatic profiles from year to year. These subtle differences form the backbone of the 2025 compositions.

This final edition leans into a deeper, more textured interpretation of the rose. The 2025 absolute reveals warmer tonalities, with hints of chestnut honey introducing a softly leathery dimension. Spices such as saffron and cinnamon appear in the background, expanding the structure of the flower and opening new creative directions for the house’s perfumers.

Within the trio, each fragrance offers a distinct perspective. Rose Azafira explores the interplay between rose and saffron, a pairing that brings together floral brightness with a gently spiced undertone. Accents of patchouli and iris add structure, while sandalwood and amber round out the composition with a smooth, lingering finish.

Rose Très Rose 2025 focuses on complexity within the floral spectrum. Layers of Rose de Mai, Damascena rose, and jasmine unfold alongside violet leaf, creating a composition that shifts between freshness and depth. Resinous notes and a trace of oud introduce a darker nuance, amplifying the richness of the rose rather than overshadowing it.

Rose Alambrah moves in a more luminous direction. Opening with neroli and citrus tones, it evokes sunlit Mediterranean landscapes before transitioning into a warmer base of labdanum, vetiver, and soft woods. The result is a fragrance that balances brightness with a grounded, resinous warmth.

Each set is presented in a handcrafted Boîte à Parfum and contains three 30ml flacons in the house’s Les Essences concentration, known for its intensity and longevity. The collection is available in boutiques.

With this release, Henry Jacques brings its rose-focused exploration to a close, capturing the evolution of a single flower across three years of cultivation and composition.
