Following the success of its 2024 debut, Mano a Mano (translated Hand to Hand) returns in 2025 with a new capsule collection dedicated to the artisans of Venice. Conceived by The Place of Wonders Foundation- the cultural initiative of The Hospitality Experience, the Italian hospitality group behind Londra Palace Venezia- the project continues its mission to celebrate and support high craftsmanship as a living expression of local identity.
Curated by Venezia da Vivere and supported by The Place of Wonders Foundation, the 2025 edition features five new Venetian artisans whose work embodies the city’s most refined and enduring traditions. Each one of them has created an exclusive object, weaving their personal story with the shared cultural memory of Venice.
At Lunardelli Venezia, wood from the lagoon’s weathered bricòle -deeply marked by salt, sea, and time- is transformed into a tray. Left to season for months, the wood is treated with beeswax from Sant’Erasmo and reveals delicate natural markings, the work of marine life, that evoke the intricacy of lace.
Arzanart contributes a hand-sewn journal, bound in marbled paper made using floating pigments, a technique brought to Venice through centuries-old exchanges with the East. The abstract patterns reflect the chromatic language of Londra Palace Venezia, connecting tradition with modern design.
From master remèr Saverio Pastor comes to a scaled sculpture of the forcola, the sinuous rowlock of the gondola. Shaped for each gondolier, it is a testament to the dialogue between craftsmanship, water, and motion.
Milliner Giuliana Longo presents a white linen beret adorned with a leone in mòeca, Venice’s winged lion reimagined in wrought iron, blending symbolism, textile tradition, and artisanal metalwork.
Lastly, Martina Vidal’s atelier in Burano offers three hand-stitched lace brooches — lion, dragon, and peacock crafted with needle and thread by women who continue a centuries-old tradition of precision and patience.
Available in limited editions from May 20, the collection supports the Foundation’s mission and invites guests and visitors alike to become ambassadors of Italian craftsmanship. One piece at a time.
