Nolinski Venezia

A Luxurious Cocoon in Venice, Italy's Most Romantic City

There is a place in Venice that seems to be shrouded in mystery. Reserved and discreet, the Nolinski Venezia is a vibrant example of "classics meets modern" both in its architecture and hotel experience.

The building that houses the Nolinski Hotel, part of the Evok Collection group, was completed in 1929. It stands out not only for its grandeur but also for its architectural innovation-being the first building in Venice to be constructed with reinforced concrete. Towering over the surrounding area, it is only surpassed in height by the Campanile and the Basilica of San Marco. Designed by Umberto Bellotto, the building is an eclectic blend of styles, seamlessly weaving together Art Nouveau, Liberty, and Modernism. Listed as a historic monument, it boasts exceptional wrought-iron work that is truly unique in Venice.

Inside, the careful fusion of historical elements with contemporary interior design, thanks to the restoration of architects duo Yann Le Coadic and Alessandro Scotto, creates a perfectly balanced, harmonious atmosphere. Guests enjoy an extraordinary experience, from the 43 rooms to the Ottoman-inspired spa. The library bar, with frescoes by Simon Buret, opens onto a charming patio where spa treatments using myBlend by Clarins products are the true highlight. The rooftop pool, made with gold glass mosaics, offers panoramic views of Venice, creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience. The hotel masterfully blends Venice’s history with modern luxury, providing a timeless stay that resonates with the city's cultural heritage while ensuring exceptional comfort. In fact, as the Piero Pastore, the hotel director states, “at Nolinski Venezia, we aim to create real connections with the Venetian community while respecting the city’s history and culture. We’re committed to supporting local life by organizing cultural events that bring together both locals and visitors.”

Now, let me tell you about my personal experience. It was nothing short of exquisite. I stayed in a Deluxe Suite (about €2,000 per night), and it was delightful for many reasons. The suite’s interior struck a perfect balance-warm and inviting yet sophisticated, blending the French aesthetic of the Evok Collection with the grandeur of Venetian history.

At Nolinski Venezia, every detail is designed to make guests feel at home. For instance, the thoughtfully curated books in each room were a match made for heaven. I read Love Story by Erich Segal while soaking in my suite’s spacious bathtub-truly the best gift I could have given myself.

This is what defines the Nolinski Venezia experience.
