This season he draws heavily from medieval aesthetics. As a child, he grew up watching 80s animation movies such as Lord of the Rings and Heavy Metal on tapes that their father, a big fan of animation movies, collected. These movies have since become a significant influence in his work.
He incorporated velvet, leather, and a wash technique to make cotton look like and old fabric into the FW23 collection. The collection is also widely inspired by the clothes both his sister and him used to wear.
When he was visiting his family for Christmas Holidays, he took his favorite pieces of clothing from when he was 17 years old, mostly from brands such as No Fear, DJ's Band, Rottweiler, and most importantly, CUSTO Barcelona. CUSTO Barcelona was his favorite brand, and he still has a massive collection of its t-shirts. In high school, he spent all day drawing designs with Custo's prints. This season, he decided to pay his homage to Custo and his work by collaborating with the brand. The collaboration, mix his favorite Custo's prints with Abra most iconic accessories and ready-to-wear pieces, making it a dream come true.
