This week’s focus turns to Lumadea Essential Uomo, a line that reframes men’s skincare through traceability, regeneration, and ethical extraction.
Developed in Cherasco — known as the “City of the Snail” — Lumadea is built on a 100% Italian supply chain, from heliciculture to finished formulation. The process is regulated by the Disciplinare Chiocciola Metodo Cherasco and certified by international bodies including ICEA and Bureau Veritas. “We are a small Italian reality where every ingredient is chosen with meticulous care,” explains Chiara Lovera, Brand Manager of Lumadea. “The snail is not only our primary raw material, it is our daily inspiration. It teaches us that results require time and perseverance.”
At the core of the Essential Uomo line lies snail secretion filtrate extracted through the Müller process. Unlike invasive industrial methods that rely on mechanical or electrical stimulation, Lumadea employs a controlled ozone-based vaporization that activates the salivary gland without harming the animal. “Our extraction is delicate and non-invasive,” Lovera notes. “It allows us to obtain a secretion of high chemical and organoleptic quality while guaranteeing the total well-being of the snail.” The subsequent microfiltration and stabilization phases ensure a low-pH, microbiologically safe extract rich in mucopolysaccharides and proteins, enhancing its soothing and restructuring capacity.
Within the line, the Siero Viso Aftershave acts as both recovery treatment and daily anti-age support. Its fast-absorbing gel delivers certified snail secretion, liposomal hyaluronic acid, sequoia stem cells and refreshing red and black tea waters. Skin feels immediately calmer and more elastic after shaving, with long-term improvement in tone and resilience.
The Spuma Lavabarba e Lavaviso completes the ritual. Formulated with the Essential Face complex — including snail secretion, sequoia stem cells and black pearl — it cleanses beard and skin without stripping, combining hydration with antioxidant protection.
