Studio Skin

Dior Forever brings the precision of the backstage into everyday beauty, introducing a complexion routine designed to perform under every light.

There is a particular discipline to skin that has to withstand a fashion show, a camera flash and a full day of movement. Dior’s latest chapter in the Forever complexion story draws directly from that world, translating Peter Philips’ experience backstage into a four-step ritual designed to refine, perfect and hold makeup in place.

At the centre are two new primers: Forever Skin Veil and Forever Velvet Veil. Both combine four functions in a single formula, preparing the skin while offering two distinct finishes. The first leaves a luminous effect; the second creates a softly blurred matte surface. Rather than masking the complexion, they are designed to create a smoother canvas for foundation.

Next comes Forever On Set Powder, an invisible translucent powder that sets makeup while softly diffusing the appearance of texture. Its weightless finish allows the skin to retain a natural quality, even under the scrutiny of high-definition lenses.

The existing Forever Skin Glow and Forever Skin Wear foundations complete the routine. Together, the formulas create a complexion that appears refined without looking overly constructed, with light controlled across the skin rather than simply reflected from its surface.

The philosophy reflects a shift in contemporary beauty towards products that combine performance with the visual language of real skin. Philips describes the formulas as “imperceptible, second-skin” textures designed to adapt across skin tones, bringing skincare sensibility into long-wear makeup.

The result is a routine conceived for modern life, but informed by the exacting conditions of the studio. From morning appointments to evening events, Dior Forever approaches the complexion as something to be perfected through texture, light and restraint, allowing the skin itself to remain the focus.
