Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City hosted an exclusive networking evening to mark its upcoming 2026 opening, with Sir Alastair Cook appearing in his role as GEDU’s Official Education Ambassador. Guests from across Dubai’s business, cultural and sporting communities gathered for a stylish showcase of the school’s academic and sporting ambition.
Representatives from Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet, including Headmaster Neil Enright and members of the global alumni network, highlighted the strength of the partnership with the historic UK campus and its reputation for excellence. The Dubai school is part of Queen Elizabeth’s Global Schools’ expansion into markets seeking high academic standards, character-building programmes and exceptional student outcomes.
Speaking at the event, Sir Alastair Cook praised the school’s legacy. “Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet has a remarkable heritage of excellence, ambition and character. Bringing that legacy to Dubai is incredibly exciting. This school will give young people the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally.”
Cook will also advise on the school’s elite sports programmes, a natural fit for its location in Dubai Sports City, where wellbeing and performance will sit at the heart of student life.
CEO Caroline Pendleton Nash noted the strong demand already seen since admissions opened. “We wanted to introduce families and the wider community to the exceptional education that will be available from August 2026.
